RENTAL REQUIREMENTS & GUIDE
At eTirental, we believe in complete transparency. To ensure a smooth experience for your journey across Texas, please review our rental qualifications and policies below.
Driver’s License
All renters must present a valid physical driver’s license. International drivers are welcome, though additional fees may apply. The name on the license must match the name on the payment card exactly.
Age Restrictions
Drivers must be at least 21 years old. Drivers between 21 and 24 are subject to an Underage Driver Fee of $17.99/day. We strictly adhere to these age requirements for insurance purposes.
Insurance Requirements
Proof of liability insurance active for 30+ days is required. Credit card coverage is not accepted as standalone proof. If you lack insurance, Damage Waivers are available but require a minimum 3-day rental.
Payment Methods
We accept Cash as well as Visa and MasterCard (processed securely via Stripe). We strictly do not accept prepaid cards, online banking cards, or gift cards. A mandatory background check is performed for all renters.
Credit Card Policy
Credit card is required to rent a vehicle. No debit, prepaid or cash cards are accepted at pick‑up. A refundable $200.00 security deposit is required for all vehicle classes.
Travel & Mileage
Enjoy unlimited mileage nationwide for standard rentals. You must call us prior to reservation if driving out of Texas. Vehicles are strictly prohibited from entering Mexico or Canada.
Cancellations
Cancel standard vehicles 24 hours before pickup (48 hours for Passenger Vans) for a full refund. Same-day reservation deposits are non-refundable. Call us immediately to adjust plans.
Tolls & Standards
Renters are responsible for all parking tickets and toll charges plus admin fees. Our fleet is 100% Non-Smoking; a detailed cleaning fee will be assessed if smoking evidence is found.
